We cannot turn on the news during the tornado or hurricane season without mention of damage or potential damage to structures. Dr. Witherspoon has studied those design recommendations by TEMA and research at Texas Tech with respect to creation of safe rooms to weather storms safely. He has applied those studies to his evaluation and design modification engineering to improve upon or design safe rooms that will keep occupants safe from nature's most violent forces.
